In the study room of the Kupferstichkabinett (Department of Prints and Drawings) you have the possibility to have originals presented to you. Please observe the following instructions and rules.


Visit and application


Hours

The study room of the Kupferstichkabinetts (Department of Prints and Drawings) is available by appointment only.
If you are visiting the study room, you do not need to pay museum admission.

Meeting point

At the appointed time, let the Infotheke in the Foyer know you have arrived and someone will come to meet you.

Registration

An official form of identification is required for entry.

Cloakroom

Jackets, bags, and backpacks may be left in the cloakroom in the Hauptbau foyer.

List of works

At least 10 days prior to your visit, send us a list of the works you would like to view. Details about the works (artist, title, inv. no.) can be found in our Collection Online. 10 works per visit will be provided, but more may be requested after consultation with study room staff. We would be happy to accommodate you.


Instructions for handling original works

Writing is permitted with pencil only. Use of a portable computer is allowed.

The originals may not be touched.

Please turn away from the original if you need to cough or sneeze.

The mats may only be touched while wearing gloves, which will be provided.

Study room staff will provide you with further, more detailed instructions for how to handle the original works on site.

Photographing the originals (without a tripod) is allowed by prior arrangement.
