From now on, the Kunstmuseum Basel's main and new buildings and the Kunstmuseum Basel Gegenwart will be open Thursdays until 8pm.
Temporary closure of some galleries starting August 30
Galleries 1 through 10 of the Kunstmuseum Basel | main building's first floor will be closed from Tuesday, August 30, through Friday, September 9, 2016, for installation of the exhibition Archaeology of Salvation (opens on September 10, 2016). Several works in the Old Masters collection (including the paintings of Konrad Witz, the Holbein family, Cranach, Grünewald, Hans Baldung Grien, and Niklaus Manuel Deutsch) will temporarily not be on display during this time.
